Listening in Texas
Let's take a page from California. Anyone remember when Gov. Gray Davis did all the things that upset the state? They held a RECAL election and since then the "Term-inator" I believe he was call was put into place. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has had the office ever since. If our "wonderful trusted; ELECTED" leaders want to continue to act contrary to our needs and continue to place our interest above those of Wall Street (who continue to get their bonuses in the millions for failing to lead properly and REQUIRE a BAIL OUT on our dime) let's issue a REAL warning to those in office --- We need to begin to exercise our RIGHTS to CONTROL Congress and the way to do so is a RECALL Election and REPLACE THEM! If we work together on this; we can send a VERY LOUD message to those "ELECTED" Congressmen and women that if they want to act contrary to our better interest and not theirs; let's work on REPLACING them. Once we get ONE of them replaced on a RECALL election; watch how fast the rest will SUDDENLY fall into place and this nonsense STOPS. Until we do such a type of action; they believe they are IMMUNE from ANYTHING WE DO. Our representatives NO LONGER listen since they are NOT worried about an ELECTION! Let's make 'em WORRY and maybe they will begin to do the RIGHT thing and not THEIR thing! Let's begin a RECALL ELECTION on the ones we can get; watch the others follow in line.

I hope all of you are ready to face the consequences if you really want the government to refuse to step in and bail out the auto industry. If you think the unemployment and economic numbers we're seeing right now are bad, take a look at how critical those companies are to our economy as a whole, how many workers they directly and indirectly employ. Perhaps the new administration can use an infusion of cash to Ford and GM to force them to move into the 21st century, and start manufacturing quality autos that are efficient and more eco-friendly. That's the only way that they will stay competitive, especially on a global scale.

Tolkien said it about Bilbo's remarkably vigorous looks at his 111th birthday. "It's not natural, and it'll have to be paid for." UN-believable.

...and I'll promise that my salary from the bail-out funds will not exceed $500,000.

As a self-employed taxpayer, I have decided to fund my own bailout. I will not pay one more dime in federal income tax. If you are a self employed citizen of this country I encourage you to do the same. I would also encourage all citizens of America to boycott any and all industries and companies receiving your taxpayer money. This includes central banks, insurance companies, credit card companies, mortgage brokers, realtors, investment banks, car manufacturing, etc, etc, etc, etc, or anything remotely related to this fiasco, in as much as you can do so. If you work for one of these corporations on the bottom, I would suggest you do a collective public lynching of your CEO to buy credence with the rest of us footing your bill. If you bought a house you couldn't afford and now expect the rest of the country to pay for it, I suggest you get out of your house, live in a cardboard box to prove that you are truely sorry for your mistakes. If you have run up credit card debt and now want forgiveness I would suggest you go out, be a public servant and slave to all those who have not done this. I would also suggest that the American people reposess the White House and the House of Representatives with no notice of foreclosure. After all, if you ran up a deficit like they have, you would surely have a foreclosure notice in your mailbox. Is any of this going to happen? Probably not, because the true patriotic American citizen does not exist. We have all become pawns for the world communist regime and the minute we step out of line and demand justice the gestapo will ship us off to gauntanamo where we would be demonized as terrorists. It is time for justice Judge Roy Bean style. You start at the top and work your way down, HANG EM ALL! With that said "I would like to wish you peace my fellow comrade"

" Comment by Bob Hoppe Nov 12th, 2008 at 3:43 pm The only problem is we don’t have the money for all of these bailouts." Not a problem. They have printing presses. I seems to work like this. The Fed prints some money. The Treasury gives them an IOU for it. Presto! Instant assets on the Fed books. As many assets as wanted, so long as the suckers don't catch on.

I want to throw up.
James
Makes you want to throw up...people risk other peoples' money and lose it all, and then those who lost their money are told that they have to give these idiots more money (for them to lose). Make them use their bonuses to bail themselves out. Why are all the executives still getting billions in bonuses this year?! They suck.

You ain't seen nothin' yet, darlin'. Wait till after the Swearing At, excuse me Swearing In, of the new leader of the known universe. Hope you got a air bag. Or a barf bag.

The only problem is we don't have the money for all of these bailouts.

A multitude of our “financial geniuses” came on Cavuto (he called them zombies) and said, "if we don’t act on the trouble assets of these financial institutions that certain peril was our fate." I want them to all come back on and face their assertions, since this program has altered its course. You mean, all these zombies were wrong? What’s going on here, so we can live with the bad paper now? I just remember how critical it was that we address all these bad derivatives. Now that we took care of the ones that were important to Paulson, we're good. This guy is going to come up dirty on this, just wait. What a mess, period, What a mess.

This is great!!! I'm send off a not right now. Maybe I can get enough to pay off my house, car loans, etc. Then enough to quit work and live the life of leisure that I feel I deserve.
